Photographer and Arctic enthusiast John Reeves first made pictures in Cape Dorset almost 50 years ago. A committed portraitist, he has created an important portrait collection of artists working out of the famed art co-op West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative Ltd. Including many Inuit — the original artists coming off the land to produce their work — through to contemporaries of the scene now, we survey a small series of Reeves’ work.
