This article is poorly written, and its implications are very disturbing. I am myself a mental health professional, who has at times also received psychiatric care.
A therapeutic relationship is intrinsically laced with power dynamics - and apparently the author was in therapy several days a week over several years. A comprable relationship might be between a parent and a child. This is not, ever, okay. The author does not reveal her diagnoses, but based on her fears surrounding her chart, i suspect she was very vulnerable during much of her therapy, and her therapists actions remain deeply disturbing.
