Eliot Spitzer’s New Pimp

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer—the George Fox of politics—has ruined his father’s dreams of having his son become the first Jewish president of the United States. He didn’t know Web 2.0 could have been his pimp.
With the governor set to resign this morning, Spitzer blows other social net news off the radar.
Spitzer allegedly spent tens of thousands of dollars at the Emperors Club VIP to get his rocks off. Salacious details about his quirky demands are enthralling, and also raise questions about who his enemies are, to have disgraced this former immorality-busting attorney so roundly. Clearly his political promises to crush all political (read: Republican) corruption made him enemies. Powerful ones that laid in wait for this kind of standard human foible to wipe him off the political map. While his true crime may be hypocrisy, his poorly chosen pimp ring choice and payment methods have left him open to criminal charges of violating The Mann Act.
On one day alone over 9,000 listings to Web 2.0 service were added to the “Erotic Services” category in the New York region. Spitzer seems to have overlooked this tremendous resource in favour of old fashioned upper class connections.
Had he been more social net savvy, we all may have enjoyed yet another pervy American president. And I have a feeling it would have been way better than cigars.
Dear politicians, here is a literal cheat-sheet for safe and economical sexual expression:
Pimp 2.0
Red Light Center
When you are just starting out as a politician-cum-sex-consumer you might want to take a dry run. Red Light Center is Second Life for adults. It’s full of sex workers and fetish fabulousness. It is also a good place for Mr. Spitzer to anonymously hang out until all this blows over.
AshleyMadison.com
Filled with men and women eager to cheat for free! If you are just starting out in the political sphere and don’t have the cash, this is a great place to break the “monotony of monogamy,” not break any puritanical prostitution/communication laws.
Adult Friend Finder
Like Ashley Madison, only you don’t have to be married. But you can be. Often misread as a paid service in which a pornographic (adult) concierge finds you, uh, “activity” partners (friend finder).
High Dollar Hotties
Spitzer apparently liked the seven-diamond-rated $3000 per hour services. He was, after all, a senator. Look no further than High Dollar Hotties, a forum of reviews of sex workers who command the big dollars—the sex workers a fancy senator demands.
WARNING!
Craigslist
STAY AWAY. Morality squads know all about the mysteries of craigslist, so caveat emptor. There is also a history of politicians being easily entrapped by Craigslist sex ads. An even far less glamourous take-down than catching the attention of the US feds like Spitzer has.
